Sarah and Jack met through mutual friends on Saint Thomas campus. We continued to spend time together through study dates, at on campus activities, and walks in the neighborhood.

Sarah and Jack started dating December of 2019. Jack and Sarah both briefly met the others immediate family over the holidays and then Sarah went to Italy for J-Term to study theology. Sarah and Jack regularly talked and kept in touch. Sarah and Jack then enjoyed the first half of spring semester on campus together until the pandemic spread to the United States resulting in everyone being sent home. During the pandemic both Sarah and Jack got to know each others immediate family and also kept developing a friendship to last a life time.

Once the pandemic was more under control Sarah and Jack were able to go back to St. Thomas in person and were able to enjoy campus life again. Sarah got an apartment on Grand Ave and Jack was a commuter from home. During this time Sarah and Jack were able to get back to the UST community and enjoy club sports, academic clubs, and engaging with friends.

Sarah and Jack both graduated St. Thomas during May of 2023. Sarah got a job working as a case manager for Mount Olivet Rolling Acres and Jack got a contract position with Genesis 10 eventually leading to a full time position with Ameriprise.

Jack planned ahead and was able to have his good friend Alvin, who was working at the Guthrie Theater that evening, capture the proposal on camera. Jack proposed to Sarah on December 9th, 2023 before the showing of A Christmas Carol. Sarah said yes and the two of them started planning for their wedding and their future.
